Art+Feminism 2020: Wikipedia edit-a-thon
Art+Feminism is an international community that strives to close the information gap about gender, feminism, and the arts on the internet.
It is well-known that there is substantial gender bias in Wikipedia’s content. Also, according to Wikipedia, "it is unquestionable that a substantial gender gap exists on Wikipedia in terms of editors and editing practice."
Join us at Clarion Hotel Oslo, on 15 February 2020 from 12pm to 5pm, for an all day communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to gender, art and feminism. We will provide tutorials for the beginner Wikipedian, reference materials, and refreshments. Bring your laptop, power cord and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. We invite people of all gender identities and expressions to participate.
No experience needed. All you need is a laptop.
Free, but please register in advance here.
